Vertical screens from Schellekens & Schellekens have been used successfully in functional architecture applications for more than 30 years.
The wide range of different vertical screens offered by Schellekens & Schellekens offers both designers and occupants numerous benefits: • Excellent heat deflection properties: The vertical screen deflects more than 85% of the solar energy that hits the window. • Functional wind resistance: Vertical screens can be used up to a wind force of 5 Beaufort depending on the amount of fabric surface area that is exposed. A safety in the form of a wind meter is always to be strongly recommended. Special restraints in the side guides prevent the bottom bar from rattling in the channels when in the extended position. • Excellent glare control: The position of the screen directly in front of the glass prevents light entering from the side. In applications where PC monitors are used, it is advisable to fit an additional, adjustable blind on the inside of the window, for example a Schellekens vertical louver blind system or curtain blind system. • Adequate vision towards the outside: The fabric is a polyvinyl coated glass fibre cloth, which allows adequate vision when looking out of window. • Extensive choice of colour, operating systems and fabric patterns: All the aluminium components are anodised or powder-coated in a RAL colour. Additionally, there is also an extensive choice of fabric patterns and motorised operating systems.
